“Please, tell me the truth!” is a phrase I hear a lot. Almost always having to do with relationships. People pay a lot of money, (I charge 8.88 per minute for psychic readings on Keen.com) and tell me they only want the truth. But truth is hard. It is messy. It can be soul-crushing, or at least it can seem soul-crushing. Looked at another way, truth is liberating. Truth gives us the freedom to find our own way, and to decide what exactly we want out of our lives. Truth can be hard, but it can also be the best thing we’re given in our lives.
Many times when coming for a psychic reading and/or a tarot reading, you already know the answers that you are seeking. But there is the hope that someone more tuned in, or better able to connect, will tell you something different. We all want a fairy tale, something to make us feel better about the situation. We want someone to tell us a pretty lie.
When someone doing a psychic reading does tell you a pretty lie, it soothes you for a while. You feel better about the situation for a bit. But then, your subconscious allows those niggling doubts to creep in. It (and your psychic self) is picking up on subtle clues that your consciousness tends to overlook, because to look too closely, will reveal answers that you’re not ready to hear.
Everyone loves the weather person when they tell us what we want to hear, but what if they told us that the next day would be full of sun and blue skies, and you relied on that information to plan a hike out in the forest? What if relying on that information put you in a precarious situation? Would you appreciate a false forecast?
